For Businesses

If you don't have a 401(k) for your employees - or your current 401(k) leaves something to be desired, especially in the way of cost and/or service - then I think you will be interested in what Brockelsby Investment Services has to offer.

A 401(k) plan is a great device for saving for retirement and a wonderful benefit to offer your employees. But from my observation, many small businesses often face two obstacles to providing a decent 401(k). One is cost. The other is service.

Brockelsby Investment Services can provide an affordable 401(k) option for you and your employees. I'm a sole-proprietor myself so I don't have a lot of overhead. And personalized service is something I take pride in. Besides group meetings with your personnel, I will personally schedule an individual meeting with every single employee who desires one to make sure he or she gets set up in a 401(k) investment program that's best for them. And if they have follow-up questions, they can contact me personally. I take special pride in my ability to communicate investing concepts in a clear, down-to-earth manner so people can understand. My goal is to have no one coming out of a 401(k) meeting with a dazed look on his face muttering to himself, "What was all that about?"

As a fiduciary, I have a legal obligation to put my clients in the investments that are best for them - not just "suitable" investments like some financial services practitioners, but the best. I am ethically bound to put my clients interests first. Also, I only charge a flat fee based on assets under management - I get no commissions for selling particular funds, so it doesn't matter which funds your employees invest in. This way there is no conflict of interest, and your employees will never feel like I'm trying to "sell" them a particular fund.

I enjoy helping the average individual come up with a 401(k) plan that works for them, just the way I've been doing for my family's business since 2000. I want every one of your employees to feel satisfied with their 401(k), and when they're satisfied, you as the employer will have one less headache - and an important benefit to offer the people who work hard for you.

For 401(k) plans I work in conjunction with a Third Party Administrator who handles the paperwork and record keeping. In addition to their fee, I charge a one-time start-up fee of $30 per eligible employee/$600 minimum. My personal annual fee is based on a sliding scale between 0.2% and 0.3% (two-tenths and three-tenths of one percent) of the assets in the plan.
